Scientific studies have shown that yoga can prevent and reverse bone loss, and can improve symptoms of arthritis. We will practice postures that will safely build and strengthen your bones, improve posture, and increase range of motion and flexibility in your joints.



Karla Kettler

Karla Kettler, RYT 500, CHt, has been practicing yoga regularly since 2002, and received both her 200 and 300 hour training certificates from the Yoga Center of Columbia. She has also completed training in Yoga for Round Bodies, Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra, and level one of Yoga for Arthritis. Both her personal practice and her classes focus on stress reduction, and in increasing strength and balance in body and mind. Previously, Karla was a practicing massage therapist, and taught anatomy and physiology at the Baltimore School of Massage. Her extensive knowledge of the body, her informative teaching style, and her sense of humor all contribute to a wonderful class experience. Karla is also a practicing Hypnotherapist certified through the International Association of Counselors and Therapists.

Diana Danaher


Diana Danaher teaches alignment-based Hatha yoga, with playful, flowing sequences. She encourages students in her classes to release tension and develop a balance of strength and flexibility.  Diana aspires to deepen each student’s self-awareness through yoga practice. Her class formats are diverse, including alignment-focused asana, vinyasa, and restorative asana. Diana discovered the benefits of yoga when she began practicing over 10 years ago, and desires to help students with varying physical abilities realize their own yoga practice.   She completed 200 + 300 hours Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification training at the Yoga Center of Columbia in 2014 and 2017.  In 2019, she completed the Duke Health and Well Being program, Integrative Yoga for Seniors.

Barbara Day

Barbara Day, E-RYT 500, YACEP, inspires students to express joy through alignment-based movement, breath awareness, and meditative stillness.   Offering practical applications for experiencing all aspects of yoga in daily life as a means of fully enjoying being alive, she aspires to teach with precision of language and detail while encouraging individual freedom of expression. Join Barbara in practicing intentional mindful movement to relieve stress, fatigue, and pain in the mind and body. Barbara completed yoga teacher training at the Yoga Center of Columbia and teaches hatha yoga. She is also certified in Lakshmi Volker Chair Yoga and Dr. Loren Fishman Yoga for Low Back Pain.
