This fun practice of combining yoga and music can heal, encourage, and nurture your soul. During this workshop, be serenaded by fantastic musicians while practicing yoga. Josh Anderson and Jamie Garonzik will be playing guitar and violin live during our yoga practice. Kate Anderson will lead students through a Level 1 practice. We end with a deliciously long Savasana full of music.

Josh Anderson currently practices as a Physician Associate (PA) in Integrative Primary Care - blending eastern and western medical techniques for optimal patient outcomes. He has a long-standing interest in herbal medicine, ethnobotany, and music therapy. Over the past 10 years he has studied energy medicine and Shamanism. He began his musical journey at the age of 9 and currently plays violin with the bands Geraldine and Swamp Donkey Newgrass.

Jamie Garonzik is a Physician Associate (PA) and integrative medicine practitioner. He is a collaborative practitioner who strives to inspire patients to reclaim their health through a multi-faceted approach including diet, lifestyle, stress-reduction techniques, herbal therapies, as well as pharmaceutical medicine. Jamie has practiced meditation for over 20 years and has had a consistent yoga practice for over one year. As a multi-instrumentalist since the age of 13, he has found that to be a potent source of meditation and healing in his own life. Jamie’s passion is to share his variety of healing modalities with others.

Kate Anderson

Kate Anderson, RYT 500, was first introduced to meditation at 12 years old by her grandparents. She developed a deeper commitment to practice in 2014 and started sharing the lifestyle and philosophy of yoga. Kate completed her 200 hour Teacher Training in 2016 with Leslie Coombs. She completed the 300 hour Advanced YTT in 2021 at The Yoga Center of Columbia. Kate's enthusiasm for building community helps create a supportive and fun environment during classes. Given her first-hand experience with the benefits of yoga, she particularly enjoys introducing new students of all ages to the practice. Her instructions invite students to explore their own balance between effort and ease. Kate currently lives in Old Ellicott City, you can often find her exploring and walking through the town!
