Go Within is an invitation to explore your yoga practice in a deeper way while considering how you deal with societal pressures on your daily life. We will explore topics such as toxic positivity messaging in the wellness industry, the weight of too much stuff and how aparigraha can help us, and how we can honor ourselves while in relationships with others. Workshops will include discussion, group activities, reflection, movement, and an opportunity to more fully incorporate your yoga practice into your daily life.

Lauren Vint

Lauren teaches from her own deep love of yoga and movement.  She is a former athlete and high school coach.  From years spent on the playing field and sideline, she brings to yoga an appreciation for the strong, complementary connection between body, mind, and spirit.  Lauren's teaching style encourages her students to find the fun of being in our bodies so that our hearts can experience joy.  In addition to practicing yoga for more than 20 years, Lauren is also a long-time meditator. She is a former public school teacher and is a recent graduate of the Yoga Center of Columbia's RYT200 Teacher Training program.

Sharnise Hendrick

Sharnise invites playfulness, curiosity, and balance between stillness and movement to cultivate greater internal awareness. She has been teaching yoga since she completed RYT200 teacher training at The Yoga Center of Columbia in 2018. She later completed RYT300 training requirements through the Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) facilitator program. Sharnise values the physical and spiritual practice of yoga and is honored to hold space for all who chose to practice with her. Sharnise is a mental health therapist and in addition to offering yoga in the community, she offers yoga classes to survivors of interpersonal trauma, cultivating a space for increased self-connection, attunement to the present moment, and a felt sense of safety in one’s body.
